AS MAAG Lihatööstus is a subsidiary of AS MAAG Grupp. The company’s main activities are the production and marketing of meat products. Maag Lihatööstus markets its products under the brands Rannarootsi and VOT!.
AS MAAG Lihatööstus offers more than a 100 meat products in its product portfolio with most of the meat product types represented. Upon creating new products we have considered the Estonians’ traditional taste and eating habits, at the same time we have surprised the consumers with innovative products each season. Besides the traditional pork, poultry and beef products we have also considered the clients with different taste preferences and launched the products made of deer meat.
Today the Rannarootsi deer line Hirve already includes 6 different products.
Product development is our first priority and its results allow us to bring to store counters several new and tasty products to enrich the consumers’ menu.
In autumn 2008 Maag Lihatööstus entered a new market – we launched the canned pet food with the name ROY. The cans are made in the canned food industry Maag Konservitööstus in Lääne-Viru County.
Maag Lihatööstus is located at Kirimäe, in Taebla Municipality, Lääne County, 15 km in the direction of Tallinn from Haapsalu. The meat industry was established in August 1994. The enterprise has been steadily renovated and the last reconstruction ended at the end of 2003. in 2008 we expanded the raw meat products’ department, which resulted in doubling the production capacity.
We make an average of 480 tons of meat products a month, which makes 23 tons of various meat products our average daily production.
The total investments amounted to EEK 7 million in 2007, in 2008 we invested EEK 10.3 million.
The production takes place in the 5,000 m2 production space with brand new production equipment and packing lines.
In November 2008 Maag Lihatööstus was nominated as the most employee-friendly company in Lääne County.
